Ahead of the Durga Puja annual festival, passengers traveling from Ranchi to Kolkata have acquired opportunity to travel by the country’s semi - high speed train -Vande Bharat Express. 

 Vande Bharat is slated to begin its operations between Ranchi and Howrah via Tatanagar before the festive season on September 24. 

 The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off nine Vande Bharat express train online on the same date. 

On July 28, the Chennai-based ICF coach factory had dispatched new Vande Bharat coaches for the Ranchi-Howrah route. 

A total of eight coaches have been dispatched for the Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat. 

On the inaugural day,Vande Bharat express will depart from Ranchi station at 12.45 pm. 

 The route cleared by the SE Railways is Ranchi to Kolkata via Muri,Jhalda,Purulia,Chandil,Tatanagar,Ghatshila,Jhardgram and Khadagpur. 

 However, though the timing has not been made public till date, according to one schedule,the Vande Bharat express will depart from Kolkata at 8 am and arrival time at Ranchi is 12.55 pm. 

 On return, Vande Bharat express will depart from Ranchi to Kolkata at 3.20 pm and arrive at Kolkata around 8.10 pm. 

 The second time schedule reported is this.It will depart from Ranchi at 5.20 pm and reach Kolkata at 11.55.

On return, it will depart from Kolkata at 3.30 pm and reach Ranchi at 10.10 pm. The maintenance work of Vande Bharat will be taken care of by the Ranchi rail division.
