In his honour and death of Jharkhand High Court Justice Kailash Prasad Deo, its offices and subordinate court activities in the State remained suspended today. 

 Prior to this,all advocates had paid tributes to late Justice Deo.Even Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren had condoled the demise of Jharkhand High Court Justice Kailash Prasad Deo.   

"It is for information to all concerned that the business of the High Court of Jharkhand and its Offices as well as Subordinate Courts of the State shall remain closed on 22nd September 2023, as a mark of respect to the departed soul of Hon'ble Mr. Justice Kailash Prasad Deo, Judge, High Court of Jharkhand, Ranchi," read the information notice issued by High Court read on Thursday. 

The Supreme Court collegium, back in year 2017, had recommended appointing Justice Deo as a judge of the High Court when he was working as a lawyer in the State.
