Mafia don Babloo Srivastava, who is currently lodged in Uttar Paresh's Bareilly central jail, has expressed threat to his life as he appeared for a hearing in a case in Prayagraj on Monday.

UP based Special Director General, law and order, Prashant Kumar, has promised elaborate security arrangements as per the rules.

The family had received a ransom call demanding Rs 10 crore. Don Babloo Srivastava, who was accused in the case, was once an associate of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and had later turned hostile.

Babloo Srivastava was caught in Singapore and extradited to India in 1995. He was wanted in 42 cases across the country involving murder and abduction in UP, Bihar and Jharkhand.
