Tata Power linked Tata Power EV Charging Solutions is set to set up electric vehicle charging stations in Uttar Pradesh. Why not in Jharkhand?

In Jharkhand lies Jamshedpur, India’s first planned city built and maintained by Tatas. The Tata Steel Ltd has its main plant there and Tata Power has Jojobera power plant in Singhbhum in Jharkhand.

Despite this, the state government of Jharkhand has not acted the way Uttar Pradesh has. Worse,
none of the state government body and its executive  is ready to answer this question.

However, the truth is this.Tata Power arm Tata Power EV Charging Solutions has inked MoU with Kanpur Municipal Corporation to install 12 electric vehicle charging stations across six strategic locations in Kanpur.

"Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Ltd (TPEVCSL), a Tata Power Group Company, signed a Memorandum of Association with the Kanpur Municipal Corporation to install 12 EV charging stations across six strategic locations in Kanpur," a company statement today said.

According to the statement, this collaboration signifies the beginning of a trailblazing initiative to revolutionize the EV infrastructure landscape in Kanpur.

JharkhandStateNews. com contacted three senior officers concerned with the subject to elicit their response to the above development. None agreed to go on record. Said a senior IAS officer on condition of anonymity,” It’s a matter to be decided by the government”.
