Amid protest by the Opposition BJP and its ally AJSU law makers, the treasury bench headed by CM Hemant Soren, Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon submitted the Rs 8111.75 crore supplementary budget on floor of the house in Jharkhand Assembly.
The opposition comprising BJP and All Jharkhand Students Union MLAs raised slogans and entered into the well of the house demanding to explain “ who owned Rs 500 crore”, recovered by the IT sleuths from premises of the Congress MP Dheeraj Sahu.
In response to their protest, the Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto had adjourned till 12.30 pm. After the proceedings of the house resumed, the opposition continued to yell and raise slogans.
But the treasury bench remained at work and Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon presented the supplementary budget of Rs Rs 8111.75 crore and then the Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto adjourned the house till 11 am on Tuesday.
