Dhania (Coriander) has turned hot in the market in Ranchi. Its prices rose.

So much so that a pack of dhania meant for making chutney at home has become difficult.

Even its prices on Tuesday rose Rs 64 to Rs 7,950 per quintal in futures hole sale trade as speculators increased their holdings, tracking a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander contracts for April delivery traded higher by Rs 64, or 0.81 per cent, at Rs 7,950 per quintal with an open interest of 20,495 lots.

A firm trend in the spot market and restricted supplies from producing regions pushed up coriander prices, PTI quotes market analysts as saying.
