Former CM Hemant Soren will remain in custody of the Enforcement Directorate for three more days.

This became apparent after the PMLA court in Ranchi granted three more days to interrogate him in the land scam case.

This PMLA court on February 7 had granted a five-day extension remand custody for Soren in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam.

Earlier the Jharkhand High Court had adjourned the hearing of Soren’s petition challenging his arrest by the ED till February 12.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Rajesh Kumar directed the central agency to respond to Soren's petition by February 9.

Since his 10-day remand had ended today, the ED produced Soren in the court and pleaded that his custody should be granted for 4 more days as the interrogation is yet to be concluded.

The court, however, granted the its custody for him for 3 days only.
