he ED has recovered a huge amount of cash from the premises of the lady cop Meera Singh. 

During the search inside her official and private premises in Ranchi, the Enforcement Directorate sleuths recovered nearly Rs 15 lakh cash and 8 mobile phones. 

Meera Singh, Officer-in-Charge of Tupudana police station in Ranchi district, was considered close to the top brass of the ruling JMM. 

The ED has launched a search operation in money laundering linked with a land scam in which ex-CM Hemant Soren, who is in jail, is an accused. 

Records show that Meera Singh was nabbed by the Anti Corruption Bureau of the state government in the previous government of the BJP led by CM Raghubar Das. 

But she managed to remain beyond the reach of the long arm of the law mainly due to her connection with “high command” of the ruling JMM, sources said.
