All those victims who were feared trapped under the debris of a two-story building that collapsed in Jharkhand's Deoghar district on Sunday morning (July 7) were rescued. 

The Godda MP Nishikant Dubey had reached the site and witnessed the rescue operation. He appeared ‘smiling’ as there was no casualty. 

An official of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), which is conducting the rescue operation, has claimed that all individuals who were feared trapped were rescued. 

They were hospitalised and reported “ under medication.” A dozen of them were trapped under the debris of the building that had collapsed in Deoghar town around 6:00 am on Sunday. 

NDRF Inspector Randhir Kumar, who is leading the operation, told the media, that all persons were rescued. 

Prior to this, a portion of an under-construction bridge over the Arga River collapsed and a pillar got tilted in heavy rain in Jharkhand's Giridih district on June 30. 

The incident had taken place in Deori block, around 235 km from Jharkhand's capital Ranchi, on Saturday night. There was no report of any injury.
