The monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly will begin on July 26 and continue till August 2. This will be the last session of the 5th Jharkhand Assembly.
The week long session is expected to be stormy as the BJP could grill the ruling alliance led by JMM on the issue of infiltration from Bangladesh in Santhal Pargana region and law and order in the state.
Likewise, the JMM and Congress will counter the BJP's charge and raise the issue of a dip in the tribals' population in several parts of the state, including Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhanbad and other cities, during the session.
While the CM Hemant Soren led JMM and its INDIA block legislatures belonging to the Congress, RJD and Left parties remain united, the Opposition BJP and its ally All Jharkhand Students Union( AJSU) stand together.
Among the ruling INDIA block, the grand old party is headed to announce the name of the Congress legislative party (CLP) leader in a day or two. This is expected to be made public by state Congress state in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir soon.
This was necessary because the post of CLP leader had fallen vacant after the former minister Alamgir Alam, who is in jail in connection with a money laundering case, had resigned from the state cabinet and also, as the leader of the CLP, on June 10.
