The Jharkhand government has appointed Anurag Gupta, as the acting DGP of Jharkhand 

Anurag Gupta will replace Ajay Kumar Singh whowas appointed as the DGP of Jharkhand on February 14, 2023, based on seniority.

Anurag Gupta, 1990 batch IPS officer , who is Director General, CID- ACB, is slated to get superannuation in April 2025. 

Alongside, Ajay Kumar Singh, posted as DGP, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director of Police Housing Corporation.

And Prashant Singh who is MD, Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation, has been transferred and posted as Communication and Technical Services.
