*The Carnival Banquet Hall in Ranchi where BJP is slated to welcome ex-JMM leader Champai Soren in Ranchi on August 30, 2024
He is the rebel JMM’s tribal leader Champai Soren(67).He, who was popularly known as “ Tiger” from Kolhan division in Jharkhand, will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a mega meeting of its leaders in Ranchi tomorrow (August 30, 2024).
The meeting will be held at The Carnival Palace,a venue for cherished celebrations.
The Carnival Palace is located at a walking distance from Shambhawi Fuel Centre and it is just 4.7 km away from Birsa Munda Airport.
The meeting will be attended by the BJP’s office bearers and members from all 24 districts and 81 Assembly constituencies in Jharkhand. Champai Soren quit JMM and the post of MLA on Wednesday night.
Among prominent BJP leaders who will grace the induction of the JMM’s ex-senior leader and ex-CM Champai Soren into the BJP, include Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister ( Agriculture) and in-charge, Jharkhand, Laxmikant Bajpai, BJP’s National Vice- President, Chief Whip( Rajya Sabha), State Incharge and Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam CM and State Incharge, who played a key role in pulling JMM’s stalwart Champai Soren to the BJP fold.
Normally, marriage functions take place at The Carnival Palace. But its spacious lawns and large banquet halls were considered fit by the state BJP leaders for this historic event expected to be attended by Champai Soren’s supporters as well.
The event is being held there with a two-fold agenda. One, to welcome tribal stalwart Champai Soren.
Two, oil the BJP party machine ahead of the assembly polls in 2024.
“From grandiose reception of Champai Sorenji to large gatherings of party leaders from across the state, this is our go-to place for all”, said BJP spokesperson Pradeep Sinha.
