Internet services were temporarily suspended in Ranchi till 3 pm on Saturday i.e September 21 to conduct a free and fair exam of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission’s Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Competitive Examination-2023. 

These exams will be conducted on September 22 also. Though the Internet remained suspended paralysing online fund transfer, the broadband operation remained functional. This did not disrupt mobile communication. 

A total of 82 examination centers have been established in Jamshedpur to facilitate the exam, which will be held in three shifts daily, from 7 AM to 5 PM. In preparation for the malpractice-free conduct of the exam, the district administration held a meeting at Sidhgora Town Hall.

The session included all officials responsible for maintaining law and order, including static magistrates, patrolling magistrates, and flying squad officers. 

The banks and official works were not affected as the broadband of the Tele communication agencies was functional.
