*Kailash Oraon, vegetable shop keeper, in Kanke Road, infront of the Post Office- 834008, Ranchi, Jharkhand on September 27,2024.

As the BJP’s ‘Parivartan yatra’ concludes on October 2,Kailash Oraon was busy selling vegetables in front of the post office with PIN code 834008.

Inside his make shift shop, Oraon has put up all green vegetables including potato, onion, lady finger and tomato.

Near these green veg items, was a carry bag showing the picture of the JMM leader and Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The Hemant Soren pictured carry bag has a text in short paragraphs, each explaining several development schemes implemented by the Hemant Soren government during the past five years including Awas yojna, scholarship yojna, Jharkhand Mukhmantri Maiyyan Samman Yojna. This Maiyya yojna provides Rs 1000 through DBT transfer money to millions of 18 plus aged eligible girls and women.

Hemant Soren pictured carry bag at this vegetable vendor Kailash Oraon’s shop is a piece of advertisement, a feature visible across weekly village markets called - Haat Bazar in Jharkhand.

Apart from the carry bag, picture of Hemant Soren fugued under the number plates of private bus, tempos, trucks and display boards in Ranchi and adjoining areas of Hazaribagh, Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, Garhwa and Daltongunj where the Assembly polls are expected before end of the year 2024.

Notably, while Soren and vegetable shop keeper Kailash Oraon are Adivasi, most drivers and owners of private buses, tempos, trucks displaying pictures of the CM Soren were non -Adivasis.

No body knows whether these Adivasis and non - Adivasis will vote for the JMM leader and CM Hemant Soren and his allies Congress, RJD and Left parties.

Yet, like the carry bag, millions of application forms meant for Maiyyan Samman Yojna, Awas yojna and so on, Hemant Soren has managed to enter into houses of millions and millions of people, especially Adivasis, Locals and Muslims in Jharkhand.

Along side, the opposition BJP is leaving no stone unturned to defeat the Soren led I.N.D.I.A parties.

The saffron party has been holding meetings, rallies and Parivartan yatra. It was launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Now, the BJP is gearing up to organise the Parivartan Yatra’s concluding event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2.

Also, the BJP and its ally AJSU have advertised themselves in the form of display boards and flexed banners, each showing pictures of several BJP leaders such as former CM Babulal Marandi, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi.

During campaigning, while the JMM led Soren is claiming that he had “ done” what he had “promised” against “all odds” including “conspiracy of the BJP to put Adivasi (him) behind the jail for “ no fault of his”, the BJP is out to attack him and expose the failures of ruling JMM-led alliance in the state.

Union Home Minister Amit had launched ‘Parivartan Yatra’ on September 20. It is being led by the top party leaders, both from inside and outside Jharkhand. ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is against corruption, false promises, deteriorating law and order, increasing crime against women, illegal infiltration, changing demography and several other issues.

Time and again Amit Shah had vowed to throw out each and every Bangladeshi infiltrator out of Jharkhand if BJP comes to power in the state. Shah, while addressing a gathering at Sahibganj, also claimed that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi or BJP can save Jharkhand from Bangladeshi intrusion.

“Number of Bangladeshi infiltrators is increasing day by day in comparison with the tribals in Jharkhand, which has to be stopped. It could be done only by the BJP only,” said Amit Shah.
