

Five Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh's Kanker- Narayanpur on today.
Five automatic weapons and explosive seized from the encounter site.Two DRG jawan were also reportedly injured.
The injured jawans were airlifted and admitted at a hospital in Raipur.Bustar Range IG of police P. Subdarraj said the encounter was part of their anti Naxal operation.
The encounter took place in Abujhmad, a dense forest area that is the main stronghold of the Naxalite movement.
The five Maoists were part of the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA).
They were believed to have been providing security to top leaders of the Communist Party of India (Maoists). The dead Maoists had a collective bounty of ₹40 lakh.
