Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Stephen Marandi was nominated as the pro-tem Speaker of the Jharkhand Assembly.

“I will fulfill all the necessary duties in the absence of the Speaker”, Marandi said. 

The special session of the Assembly is slated to be held on December 9-12,2024. 

Addressing media persons after taking oath as CM, Hemant Soren said, his government will increase the monthly sum of Maiya Yojna from Rs 1000 to Rs 2,500 per month from December 2024. 

Soren also said that a legal process will be initiated to get “ pending dues” connected with mineral revenue. Soren declared that recruitment of police personnel, especially constables will begin shortly.
