*Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to shift from his official residence cum Office( seen below) to the official residence of the Chief Secretary in Ranchi
In a recent development, Chief Minister Hemant Soren is expected to vacate his official residence cum office in Ranchi.
As per the notification sided by the Building Construction Department, the CM’s present residence cum office has to be repaired and developed.
Till an alternative arrangement is made, the official residence of the CM will be shifted to the official residence of the Chief Secretary, which is lying vacant right now.
The building construction department has issued a directive informing the authorities concerned that 5, Kanke Road Residence of the Chief Secretary, has been identified as the right place to shift the residential office of the Chief Minister, a property officially designated for the use of Jharkhand CS in Ranchi.
This shift stems from the urgent need for the CM’s residential office, changing the dynamics around the use and allocation of official spaces in the capital.
The background of this office dates to when the then RS Sharma had been allotted the property to facilitate the work of Jharkhand Chief Secretary. Sukhdeo Singh was the last CS who vacated it after he retired from Indian Administrative Service on March 31,2024.
