The job aspirants in Jharkhand are facing mega obstacles in collecting caste, income and residential certificates.
Though the state government claims to issue online certificates , but the government staff and officials responsible to sign and provide these certificates don’t let it happen.
Result is scores of job aspirants who were unemployed youth fail to file online applications and remain unfortunate to participate in competitive exaninations.
The News 18 TV carried out a survey of the affected youths and broadcast its special report. JharkhandStateNews.com publishing its report in English.
Case 1. Name Sonu Kumar. On December 17,2024 he had filed application seeking proof of residential certificate.Last date for filing it was January 14. He needed it to file application for the post of Fireman of the CISF.
Case 2.Name- Yogesh Kumar Gupta who has to appear in the competitive exam for the Industrial Training Institute( ITI). The submission of residential certificate is made mandatory. But the officials and staff of the Block office in Kanke block of Ranchi were rarely available. Case
Case 3.Name- Kazir Khan who had filed application seeking birth certificate of his son in 2023.For 11 months, he ran from pillar to post to get the birth certificate. Finally, he gained it a week back.
Case 4.Name -Sunil Oraon. The sale and purchase of land on forged and fake documents is common. Oraon has complaint that his land is being sold on forged land deeds.
Case 5.Name- Ajay Kumar has been running around the Kanke block office in Ranchi for the Income certificate needed to get Ayushman Bharat, a flagship scheme of Government of India,launched as recommended by the National Health Policy. His relative is suffering from Cancer and is undergoing treatment at Sadar hospital in Ranchi.
To get him treated further, the Sadar hospital management has sought his income certificate.
They are not isolated cases. Scores of people were running around the Block office in Kanke, Ranchi for Birth, Income, Residential and Caste certificates. On the spot inspection carried by the News 18 TV showed empty chairs inside the office during working hours.
However, Circle Officer of Kanke Block, Jai Kumar Ram claimed that the work was being carried as per the rules and regulations. “ I am serious about it”, Ram told JharkhandStateNews.com.
The scene is almost the same in all government run block offices in Jharkhand. The sad thing is the top government officials were least concerned as server and websites responsible for examination and release of these necessary certificates.
Another prevalent problem is rampant corruption. No certificate is learnt to be issued without accepting bribe at the office of Circle office in Jharkhand.
