In a review meeting with the state Energy Department,Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday directed to replace 10 KVA transformers with 25 KVA transformers across the state.

This means that the state Energy Department will upgrade 5000 transformers.In the first phase,500 transformer will be replaced in 80 Assembly Constituencies of the state on September 7,2016.

On this occasion,the MLA and MP of the constituency will be invited”,said the CM while reviewing the work of the Energy Department inside his official chamber at Project Bhawan in Ranchi on August 24,2016.

The project is planned to be carried on a mission mode.”Make an advance plan for the uninterrupted supply of electricity.Complete the tender process in a time frame.The Department will not face shortage of fund”,assured the CM.

The CM directed to make payment to contractors and companies on time.”Hold meeting with them and gather their problems every month.Blacklist those contractors/companies who don’t work”,said the CM.

Additional Chief Secretary RK Srivastava informed that due to the work done on a mission mode in the transmission sector,the transmission loss had come down from 41 percent to 31 percent.By 2019,it will be brought down to 15 percent,he said.

Srivastava said,the Department is purchasing 1.71 lakh new transformers.On September 7,when the mega programme will be held in Ranchi,the CM will launch the campaign to change 500 transformers.
