*Anurag Gupta, IPS who becomes DGP for two years
The Hemant Soren government has regularised the appointment of Anurag Gupta as Director General of Police.
Earlier, he was appointed as an Acting DGP. Now, as per the notification issued by the state home department, Sri Gupta, IPS officer of the 1990 batch, will be DGP for a term of two years.
His new appointment will be deemed effective from July 26, 2024, for two years.
