Jharkhand Raj Bhavan will keep its gates open for the general public from February 6 to February 12.
As part of its annual programme, the move aims to allow general public to visit its sprawling gardens and lawns exhibiting a rich display of 400 varieties of more than 17,000 roses.
The gardens also houses species of trees and different fountains to spellbound onlookers. On day one, 3,469 visitors flocked to Raj Bhavan garden, it said in a statement.
Since 2004,Raj Bhavan has offered entry to people to its garden every year and this time it will be open till February 12.
Visitors can take a stroll in the gardens between 10am to 3pm while entry is allowed only till 1pm from gate number two. The gardens are spread across 52 acres of land.
It was first opened to the public in 2004 and since then it has been an annual affair. Ravi Munda, a resident of Kanke,said, “We don't want to miss this splendid opportunity to immerse ourselves in the mesmerizing beauty of the Raj Bhavan gardens. We came here with our family to create unforgettable memories amidst the enchanting ambiance.”
