Reportedly on the occasion of International Women’s Day and six days before Holi, Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday fulfilled his promise to provide financial support to women under the Maiya Samman Yojna.
The fund for three months of payment at the rate of Rs 2,500 has started being transferred online to 38-40 lakh women.
Notably, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on January 6, 2024 had launched the Maiya Samman yojna and transferred ₹1,415.44 crore to 56.61 lakh women at the rate of Rs 1000 per person in the state as promised ahead of the Assembly election.
During the Assembly polls, CM Soren had promised to increase the monthly payment from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500. He began to fulfill this promise today( March 8,2025).
