Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday reviewed the development schemes connected with the received fund of the District Mineral Foundation Trust and directed Deputy Commissioners to hold the meeting of the Tribal Development Council.

“In the meeting take suggestions from its members and understand the needs and requirements of the tribals”,directed the CM adding that they should focus on implementation of welfare schemes suggested by them.

The CM advised the DCs to prepare the roadmap of development schmes,inform the tribals,generate awareness among them and implement them.

“The people of tribal society are simple-straight.They are misled.Some people don’t want that the people of tribal community develop.Their children gain good education.The Tribal Development Council was set up with this aim”,said the CM.

The CM said that it is the responsibility of the state government functionaries to provide good governance in mining areas.

“It is the priority of the government to provide drinking water through the pipeline.This can help people prevent themselves from getting affected by diseases.The second priority is to set up toilets so that the people don’t have to defecate in the field.Implement both these schemes in those areas where the people belonging to the Scheduled Caste,Scheduled Tribe and poor communities reside”,said the CM adding that they should immediately build boundaries of those schools which lack it.

The CM directed the DCs to implement development schemes meant to provide basic facilities to people in mining areas.He said that the construction work of the Panchayat Secretariat will be completed soon.”Then,Sub Divisional wise training will be provided to representatives to run and manage it”,said the CM.

The meeting was attended among others by Chief Secretary Raj Bala Verma,Additional Chief Secretary RK Srivastava,Development Commissioner Amit Khare,The CM’s Principal Secretary Sanjay Kumar and the CM’s Secretary Sunil Kumar Barnwal.
