The office of the Chairman cum Managing Director( CMD) of the Ranchi based PSU- HEC Ltd. has been attached by the court on the ground of non -payment of bills amounting to nearly one crore to a private company.

The order to attach the HEC’s CMD office was passed by the Civil court in Ranchi in connection with a petition filed by Dyanand Engineering Industry Private Ltd, Muzaffarnagar. The company had alleged that though it supplied welding rods in 2015-16, its bills of nearly Rs 1 crore were not paid to date.

In accordance with the court’s order, Nazir( official Representative) of the court, Zissan Iqbal, with its two staff, Satyadev Kumar, Dharmendra Singh and Advocate Omprakash Ravi, reached the HEC in Dhurva and locked the HEC’s CMD’s chamber on Wednesday.

Notably, the HEC, a company established in 1958, known for manufacturing and supplying capital equipment and machinery for core sector industries and monitored by the Union Ministry of Heavy Industries, has been suffering from financial crisis for long. It lacks job orders, and the CMD post has remained vacant for quite some time.
