After Ram Vilas Paswan’s demise, property dispute within his family as well as political dispute between his son Chirag Kumar Paswan and uncle Pashupati Kumar remain unresolved till date.
Even as the property dispute continued to haunt the Paswan family,Pashupati Kumar Paras on Monday announced his decision to quit NDA.
In fact, Paras was shown the door by the NDA after its leadership preferred to promote Chirag Paswan by appointing him as Union Minister. This left Pasupati Paras furious.
Inside the Paras family, late Paswan’s first wife Rajkumari Devi who was divorced by late Paswan in 1981 and his two daughters Usha and Asha sided with Chirag Paswan, son of late Paswan from his second wife Reena Sharma as they were facing “ untold miseries’ from Pasupati Paras.
Now Pasupati Paras appears to have joined hands with the RJD led by Lalu Yadav and Tejaswi Yadav.
Pashupati Paras, who quit NDA, said, ‘Injustice was done, as we are a Dalit party.”Pashupati Kumar Paras further said:
"I was with the NDA since 2014 till date. We were loyal allies of the NDA. You must have seen that when Lok Sabha elections were held, people of NDA did injustice to our party as it is a Dalit party.
Still, in the national interest, our party decided to support NDA in the elections. 6-8 months later, whenever NDA meeting was held in Bihar, BJP state chief and JD(U) state chief issued statements that they are '5 pandavas' in Bihar, they didn't mention our party's name anywhere...So, we were compelled...We are going amid the people and have started a membership drive. We are preparing for all 243 seats...If Mahagathbandhan gives us proper respect at the right time, we will definitely think of politics in future..."
