Manish Ranjan, an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer from Hyderabad who is among the 28 tourists killed in the terror attack in Kashmir on Tuesday, belongs to Bihar.

Before posted as officer of the IB, he was in Ranchi office of the Intelligence Bureau. His killing by the terrorists has shocked the staff and officers of the IB in the capital city of Jharkhand.

“We are in shock and grief as dear Manish Ranjan was shot dead in front of his wife and children”, cribbed a staff of the IB in Ranchi today.

The family, along with many other tourists, was in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley, known as 'Mini Switzerland', when the terrorists attacked them.
