This was said by Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das while addressing delegates during launching ceremony of investment promotion campaign branded as ‘Momentum Jharkhand’in New Delhi on Thursday.

The campaign aims to promote a ‘Digital Jharkhand’.The event commenced with the unveiling of the brand logo and launch of the campaign website momentumjharkhand.com.

CM, who is in charge of the Industries department of GOJ,further said-“With 40% of India’s mineral reserves, Jharkhand will fuel the ‘Make in India’ mission. Nonetheless, several developmental challenges remain. But these offer tremendous opportunities for investors who can be pivotal partners in progress. Aiming to become a developed state by 2020, we will strive to skill two million youth within this timeframe.”

Stressing his Government’s firm commitment towards industrial harmony, Das continued:

“Since my government assumed power, there has not been a single major incidence of industrial conflict. Through highly-responsive governance mechanisms, we ensure near-perfect industrial harmony.

The DIPP assessments on Business Reforms prove our unparalleled progress on labour reforms – ample testimony to the stable culture of the State’s people and their outlook towards organized systems of livelihood. In Jharkhand we have replaced redtapisam with red carpet.”

R.S. Sharma, Chairman, TRAI spoke on best practices in industrial regulation and commended the establishment of the Jharkhand Investment Promotion Board.It“will go a long way in enhancing the dynamism of governance. Jharkhand has sped up endeavour to strengthen Pragya- Kendras and lead Digital India movement to every village. A Digital Jharkhand will contribute in the making of Digital India”, he further added.

While addressing the event Rajbala Verma , Chief Secretary, said- Jharkhand Government has radically altered the narrative of competitive federalism via fast-paced reforms.

She detailed the opportunities for investors in Jharkhand. She said- GOJ is ready with green field smart city, plastic parks, mega food parks, electronic manufacturing clusters and other opportunities for investment. She ensured hassle free processing of investment proposals. Now Jharkhand is ready for big economical fillip, CS further added.

TV Narendran, Managing Director of Tata Steel, said that ‘Make in India’ had its roots in Jharkhand, and the present campaign heralded a second-stage boost for investments. He lauded the Government of Jharkhand for boosting investment opportunities in the capital goods equipment’s sectors.
Raman Roy from ASSOCHAM applauded the fact that CM Raghubar Das government has given ease of business another meaning altogether.While many states brand their Chief Ministers’ Offices as open-door systems, the single-window system of Jharkhand is so efficient, responsive and disciplined that “an investor doesn’t need to escalate matters to higher authorities”.

Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary to CM invited the investors and said “Jharkhand is an important cog in the wheel of ‘Make in India’ initiative. Multiple factors such as promoting micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), availability of a land bank, improved law and order and a single-window clearance policy is promoting the state as a manufacturing hub”, he further added.

The Jharkhand government has launched a portal for single-window clearances.Under the Jharkhand Industrial Facilitation and Single Window Clearance Ordinance, 2015. 24-hour highway patrol is being set up, with police pickets at every 20 km. Law and order in the state has improved significantly,said Kumar.

Sunil Kumar Burnwal, Secretary, Industry Department,said- “Industrialist need not move various places for land allotment because GOJ has created single window for online land allotment. He briefed about integrated mega cluster,dedicated freight corridor and fully ensured industrial harmony.

Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry,Chandrajit Bannerjee said- “Jharkhand is scripting a turnaround of sorts for Eastern India, and promises to fuel the Make in India mission – not just through the vast resources at its disposal, but also through its emergent skilled manpower.”

On this occasion,the state government has also signed two Memorandum of Understanding. The MoU with cement major ACC Ltd. enables “expanding their existing grinding unit in Sindri, Near Jharia, Dhanbad.
The MoU with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise will facilitate “cooperative and collaborative activities of primary health care through cloud enabled eHC (e-healthcare centres).It aims to address India’s healthcare delivery and healthcare education related problems
