In alignment to the "Swachchhata Pakhwada 2025" campaign CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (CSIR-NML), Jamshedpur in association with the Railway authority organised a cleanliness drive and plantation program at the Tatanagar Railway Station.

The move was carried on Wednesday under the guidance of Dr. Sandip Ghosh Chowdhury, Director, CSIR-NML, Mr. Abhishek Singhal, Area Manager, Tatanagar and Dr. Sarmishtha Sagar, Chief Scientist, CSIR-NML. 

A NML-team comprising Dr S. Sivaprasad, Dr Raghuvir Singh, Mr. Jay Shankar Sharan, Dr. Sanjay Agarwal, Mr. Uday Bhaskar Rao, Mr Viplave Vishal, Mr. Bhola Azad, Mrs. Y. Usha and many others joined in this program along with a team from Railway authorities. 

Besides cleaning of the Railway station premises, four plants along with Pots handed over to the Area Manager, Tatanagar by the Director, CSIR-NML. “Safai Mitras” of Railway authorities were felicitated during this program.

CSIR-NML is celebrating Swachchhata Pakhwada 2025 program from 1st May to 15th May, 2025. Under this campaign, CSIR-NML has organised various events like - Swachchhata oath, Cleanliness drive at both the residential campus, Sit & Draw competition for children, Essay, Quiz and Extempore Completions.
