The security forces have achieved a historic success. In an operation that lasted for 19 consecutive days on the Kurraguttalu hills (KGH), located on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border, the forces eliminated 31 notorious Naxals.
This is the largest operation ever conducted against Naxals. During the operation, a total of 336 IEDs, 818 BGL shells, 894 bundles of cordex, a large quantity of explosives, and weapon manufacturing equipment were recovered. Remarkably, not a single security personnel was harmed in this unprecedented mission.
The hill was being used as the unified headquarters of PLGA Battalion No. 1, DKSZC, TSC, and CRC, where Naxals were trained and weapons were produced.
The security forces have dismantled the entire Naxal infrastructure and hoisted the national flag atop the site.
