The second K.N. Prasad Memorial Sports Tournament 2025 concluded today at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi on Friday. During the closing ceremony, teams that performed well in cricket and badminton were honored.
Lt. Gen. Gyan Bhushan and sports coach Mr. Manoj Kumar were present as chief guests. Hon’ble Justice Deepak Roshan of Jharkhand High Court, NUSRL Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R. Patil and Assistant Registrar Dr. Jisu Ketan Pattnaik attended as special guests.
The final cricket match was between Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University (JRSU) and YBN University. JRSU won the thrilling match. Other teams like BIT Mesra, Birsa Agricultural University, and Chotanagpur Law College also participated.
Hon'ble Justice Deepak Roshan appreciated the tournament and said it would be organized with even more enthusiasm next year. Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ashok R . Patil thanked all participating universities and praised the young players for their energetic performance despite the summer heat. Special mention was made of Dr. Avinash Kumar and Coach Payal Tirkey for their contribution to the tournament's success.
This tournament was organised in memory of Late Shri K.N. Prasad, father of Justice Deepak Roshan, to honor his contributions in education, sports, and social service. The event reflected NUSRL’s commitment to promoting sports and fitness among students and staff members
