Now, when security forces killed these two dreaded leaders of the Naxalite renegade outfit, Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad, Pappu Lohara, who was carrying a reward of ₹10 lakh on his head, and Prabhat Ganjhu, who was carrying a reward of ₹5 lakh in Jharkhand's Latehar district this morning, smile was visible on the face of businessmen and traders in Latehar, Daltongunj, and Garhwa districts of Palamau division of Jharkhand.

Both Pappu Lohara and Prabhat Ganjhu were leaders of the renegade Naxalite outfit Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad.

They carried a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on their head. According to the police, more than two dozen cases of murder, abduction, ransom, illegal possession of arms, etc, were pending against each of them.

These two Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces this morning, said DIG Palamu.

Another dreaded member of the group, who was injured, has been arrested, and an INSAS rifle has been recovered from him, a report said.

“ We are happy that these Naxalites were identified and killed. They always threatened us for ransom”, said Sudhir Agrawal, a businessman echoing the sentiments of a dozen of their shopkeepers and traders in Latehar district.
