Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday ( June 5,2025) inaugurated the Siramtoli-Mecon flyover in Ranchi.

It is one of the most marvellous engineering plan and design executed marvellously by Larsen & Toubro (L&T),a multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai.

Soren emphasised his government’s commitment to timely infrastructure development and expressed satisfaction with the project.

The Siramtoli-Mecon flyover, spanning 2.34 kilometres, includes a 132-meter stretch over a railway line and is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 340 crore.

The project, which began in August 2022, aims to enhance urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion in Ranchi, a growing concern for residents.

Soren’s visit follows the recent inauguration of the Kantatoli flyover on October 4, which has already brought significant relief to the city’s traffic woes. The Kantatoli flyover was completed before its scheduled deadline, showcasing the government’s commitment to prioritizing infrastructure and urban development.

The Siramtoli-Mecon flyover is expected to improve connectivity further and reduce bottlenecks in Ranchi.

On December 3,2024, the Chief Minister had inspected its construction, reflecting his proactive approach to monitoring key developmental projects.

With inauguration of this Siramtoli-Mecon flyover residents of Ranchi are beneficiaries as they had long awaited its completion. It will smoothen the city’s transportation network.
