First spell of rains have caused untold miseries to railway passengers in Tatanagar- Adityapur where passengers had a common problem- cancellation of several trains due to water logging on railway tracks in their outer circuit there.

The railway authorities have stated that the route of multiple trains is being diverted to avoid the cancellation. It further stated that the passenger trains from Tatanagar to Kharagpur at 3.15 and 4.20 am on Thursday were cancelled suddenly after receiving reports of waterlogging on the tracks.

More, the passenger train from Kharagpur to Tatanagar at 11:00 pm on Wednesday had arrived at Tatanagar station at 4 am the same day.

The cancellation of the passenger trains has affected several thousand of the passengers. The railway has advised the passengers to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

However, the authority also assured that the services are likely to resume in the next few days. While providing details, the officials stated the up and down railway tracks on the outer region of Tatanagar and Adityapur stations are completely flooded with water.

They further stated that the trains are taking 6 to 7 hours to enter the station from the outer cabin due to the waterlogging.

The railway officials stated that the routes of several trains are being diverted for the next few days to avoid any inconveniences. They informed that the Sambheshwari Express will not go to Tatanagar station but will be going to Howrah via Purulia.

Apart from this, the Mumbai Howrah Mail train will also not go to Tatanagar in the upcoming few days.

The railway officials also stated that the route of the Duronto Express going from Mumbai to Howrah has also been diverted, adding that the prominent train on the route will also not go to Tatanagar station.
