M. Venkaiah Naidu and Harivansh ji have met again. During his term as Vice President cum Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Naidu and Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Mr. Harivansh, regularly met.

However, after his tenure ended, Naidu moved back to Hyderabad with his family and was succeeded by Jagdeep Dhankhar on 11 August 2022.

After retirement, Harivanshji arrived in Hyderabad and visited and met Mr. Naidu- with pictures showing them warmly greeting each other.

Mr.Venkaiah Naidu posted his message on the social media platform X, mentioning that Harivanshji had visited him at his residence in Hyderabad as a ‘courtesy call’ and lauded his amazing personality.

“Before Harivanshji transitioned to politics, he was a well-known journalist and took the Hindi Daily, Prabhat Khabar to new heights with his flair for investigative journalism. Harivanshji belongs to a rare and diminishing breed of public figures who are known for their adherence to principles and values…”, wrote Mr. Naidu on the social media platform X which was accessed by JharkhandStateNews.com on Saturday-July 12,2025.
