*CM Hemant Soren meets ailing former Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha Karia Munda at a private hospital in Ranchi on July 23,2025.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren visited and met former deputy speaker of Lok Sabha Karia Munda who was again admitted to a hospital in Ranchi.
Eighty nine years old, Munda, an eight-term MP, (Born: 20 April 1936), belonging to the BJP,was stable and under observation. The CM Soren sought information from doctors of the Medica Manipal in Ranchi and wished his speedy recovery soon.
On January 7, 2025, Karia Munda had got admitted in Ranchi after being brought from his home in Khunti.
"His health parameters were fine but today he fell ill. The civil surgeon has been instructed to remain in touch with Ranchi's Medica Hospital to take stock of his condition.”
His son Jagarnath Munda, a BJP leader, said the former coal minister complained of ill health in the afternoon amid the cold.
"He was brought from Khunti to the Ranchi hospital for a routine checkup.
