Preparations are in full swing for the last rites of former chief minister Shibu Soren at his native place, where the Cell on Wheels ( COW) has been installed by Reliance Jio Infocom.
This move is designed to provide a mobile infrastructure solution to enhance network capacity and coverage in Nemra village in Gola Block in Ramgarh District of Jharkhand.
The last rites of Shibu Soren is planned to be performed at his ancestral village Nemra today( Tuesday, August 5, 2025).
The mortal remains of the Guruji will be brought from Ranchi via his official home at Morahabadi maidan and the Assembly premise by noon.
Jio installed COWs in response to a request by the Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner. COWs are essentially temporary, self-contained cellular base stations mounted on trailers or vehicles, designed for rapid deployment.
They are particularly useful in addressing network congestion during large events or in areas affected by natural disasters.
This move is part of the state and Ramgarh district administration to make available high speed Internet connectivity in this area for the media and bureaucracy.
The media agencies and officers have to work and operate on the occasion of the funeral procession and performance of last rites of Jharkhand’s most popular tribal leader Shibu Soren.
An order from the ruling JMM and the state government stated that former CM Shibu Soren will be accorded a State funeral with full police honours at the Nemra cremation ground on August 5, 2025.
