On the passing of the great leader of Jharkhand, Dishom Guruji, Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani has expressed deep emotion and said that Guruji always wished for the welfare of not only tribals and the underprivileged but of all sections of society. He remained committed and actively worked for their upliftment throughout his life.

For the past two days, Mr. Nathwani has been expressing his respect and sentiments for Guruji on social media. Upon hearing the news of Guruji’s demise, Mr. Nathwani immediately reached out to the Chief Minister of the state and Guruji’s son, Mr. Hemant Soren, and conveyed his condolences in person.

Mr. Nathwani said that Mr. Hemant Soren, too, has been working continuously for the development of Jharkhand and the welfare of tribal communities, following in his father’s footsteps. He added, “In Mr. Hemant Soren, I see not only a grieving son but also the image of someone determined, hardworking, and committed to carrying forward his father’s legacy and mission.”

It is noteworthy that while Mr. Nathwani is currently a Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh, he had earlier served two consecutive terms as a Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand from 2008 to 2020. Recalling his time in Jharkhand, Mr. Nathwani said, “Even though I was an outsider and an independent MP, during my tenure and while writing my book ‘Jharkhand MeriKarmabhoomi’, I received immense affection, goodwill, and support from the respected Guruji and the Hon’ble Mr. Hemant Soren — something I will never forget.”

Mr. Nathwani concluded by saying, “I pray for the eternal peace of Dishom Guruji’s soul.”
