In comparison to June, monsoon picked up momentum in July 2019 in Jharkhand. Clouds in the sky followed by drizzles had increased rainfall. As a result, against 522.2 mm average rainfall in the monsoon season, during June1-July 31,2019, only 340 mm rains were recorded.
In the month of August, rainfall is expected to increase. During the past five days -July 26-31-55.8 mm rains were recorded whereas during 55 days -June1-July 25-60.3 mm rains were recorded in Ranchi, Jharkhand's capital city.
