Music composer A.R. Rahman will be honoured with the Hridaynath Mangeshkar Award on October 26.

He will be conferred with the fifth Hridaynath Award by veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai on the birth anniversary of Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, the late younger brother of legendary playback singers Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle.

The first Hridaynath award was given to Lata. Asha, megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Sulochana Tai have also been its recipients.
