Let me submit that the state government led by Chief Minister can not afford to be left in the lurch. So, act quickly and fast.
To begin with, an action-packed team comprising competent officers and doctors is the urgent need of the hour.
To confront the COVID-19 challenge, hire doctors on a contractual basis for this pandemic communicable disease. The doctors should take all precautions. Each one of them should work for not more than 5 days. They should be then either tested by a rapid antibody test or should be sent for quarantine.
Aayushman Bharat may be incorporated with this disease, investigation and treatment.
The government has passed the law that all the staff of any organisation must get full payment. But the government's directive is not clear on the issue of full payment to those employees who are enjoying a holiday and not performing their duty in the hospitals due to which the work of the hospital is getting jeopardised
All the emergency operated patients must be discharged as soon as possible.
All hospitals in the country where emergency work is continuing should be considered as 'hotspot'.
Patients must be prohibited entry without using a mask and headcover. They should wash their hands with soap and water. For once overuse of such devices will give better results, I think.
When the hospital runs, electrician, plumber, carpenter, sweeper and housekeeper, medicine supplier, equipment provider and so on, go hand in hand.
Hence the movement of such personnel should be relaxed. I suggest a sticker "On Hospital duty" for such vehicles used by these medical personnel. Even after showing their i-card, they are having lots of problems with traffic police. Deal with this problem.
A rapid antibody investigation kit should be made available in sufficient quantity in the hospitals. The state government should monitor it whether these kits are in abundant quantity in private and government labs so that people who can afford they can avail the facility of private labs for their family and institution staff.
The rapid antibody test is a blood test. The sample can be collected from home. It is the best test for screening Asymptomatic cases. For poor people convenience, this test and RT PCR test should be reimbursed by Aayushman Card.
There is a lack of communication between the Government and the Indian Medical Association. The State Government should have official Communication with IMA Headquarter, Ranchi.
