Prakash Chand AC Sewa Sadan in Medininagar offers an AC coffin service for all those who wish to preserve their dear ones’ dead body for a few days.

Due to non availability of air and rail tickets, one takes up three or more days to reach the place. As a result, It becomes very difficult to preserve the body for so long.

Reportedly the AC coffin has come as a relief to many families. Those who live far can now attend the burial service in Daltonganj. The coffin is made available to a family on request and has no charges except for the transportation cost, Suresh Jain, a top member of the sadan said.

The AC coffin can preserve a body for 12 days at -2°C, said Jain. He had bought the coffin in Hyderabad at Rs 65,000 but he had to pay Rs 40,000 as transport charges from Hyderabad to Daltonganj.
