Technical Education Department of the Government of Rajasthan has announced that admissions to B.Tech. program in engineering colleges in Rajasthan shall be on the basis of JEE Main score from the academic session 2016-17, says a press release.
Arpit Agrawal, Vice-Chairman, JECRC Foundation has clarified that there are about 54,000 seats for B.Tech. admission in various private and government engineering colleges in Rajasthan.
Earlier, these admissions were made on the basis of Rajasthan Pre-Engineering Test (RPET). Now, the admissions will be made on the basis of JEE Main score and the candidates will get relief from writing the RPET entrance examination.
The aspirants will be required to register for admission through the process of REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process), and exercise option for preferred college and branch on the basis of JEE Main score. This revised process will take effect from academic session 2016-17.
