On this holy day when Jesus was resurrected,Christians across the world celebrate Easter.So did thousands of Christians  in Ranchi on Sunday,April 16,2017.

This was the occasion many persons belonging to the Christian community joined the vigil service.Divided in four segments,they began with blessing and lightening of new fire symbolizing the divine life of Jesus which was not destroyed on the cross.

Since the day marks the return of Jesus Christ who sacrified himself for the sins of humanity,Chritians celebrate it as a day of resurrection indicating He was the 'true son of God' who defeated evil and death before ascending to heaven.
