Most of us stay in towns and cities and lead a sedentary lifestyle. In consequence, much of our time is spent sitting, lying, reading, watching TV, playing video games or using mobile phone/computer.

Though our day to day activity does keep us busy, action involves very less physical work,a prime need to keep our body biologically fit. This creates a number of diseases. Some are as follows:

In other words, lack of exercise or physical activity causes muscle atrophy, i.e. shrinking and weakening of the muscles.

Very often when we need to buy any item from a nearby store or when we need to meet someone who is nearby, we tend to go there by some form of motorized transport instead of walking or cycling.

Doctors advocate exercise in the gym, long morning walk , cycling, swimming and so on.These ought to be a mandatory part of our daily life.
