It's a major reform introduced by Union Education Department and announced by its Minister Prakash Javadkar. What?

As per the reform, the national level engineering and medical entrance examinations-JEE(Main) and NEET-will be held twice a year from 2019 in online mode.

Javadkar announced in New Delhi that JEE(Main) and NEET will be held by newly formed examination conducting agency-National Testing Agency(NTA). More, NTA will also conduct UGC NET and CMAT exams from now on.

'These competitive exams will be held on multiple dates", the Minister said adding that while JEE(Main) exams will be held in January and April, NEET will be held twice in February and May.

"It's pro-student reform", said a student in Ranchi, echoing the sentiments of many others.
