The state BJP has criticised the Hemant Soren government for shifting convict Lalu Prasad Yadav from the RIMS ward to RIMS Director’s residential bungalow.

“It’s a clear cut violation of the Jail manual”, said the state BJP’s spokesperson Saroj Singh.

“In the garb of Coronavirus, one paying ward with 19 rooms of the state government-run RIMS were kept empty for him. And now he has been shifted to the RIMS’ Director’s residential bungalow”, he said.

“Now his son Tejaswi should be asked to stay with him”, he added.”If there is any provision in the jail manual, Laluji can be shifted to Bihar and made him stay with his wife Rabri Devi and other family members.”
