Chief Minister Mr Hemant Soren has written to various companies operating in Jharkhand, urging them to help people, residing within their CSR operational area, get vaccinated against COVID19 under the CSR Fund.

In the letter, the Chief Minister said, "The whole world has been afflicted with Covid-19 pandemic for more than a year now. All the States of India, including ours, are being ravaged by the deadly second wave."

"The government of Jharkhand is dedicated and devoted to fighting this battle against Covid-19 with all its might. We all know that vaccination is the most important tool we have at our disposal to help stop this pandemic. The State Government believes that everyone is entitled to the "Right to Life" and hence is committed to provide vaccines to all its citizens free of cost irrespective of their caste, creed or religion."

The Chief Minister said, "It is the need of the hour that the Government and the Corporate sector come together in the interest of public health. Therefore, I appeal to all the companies operational in Jharkhand to ensure awareness and bear the cost of vaccination of the communities, especially within the age group of 18 to 45 years, residing within their CSR operational area."

"This will ensure that all the eligible citizens are vaccinated at the earliest. You will have the assistance of the Government of Jharkhand in terms of logistics in this noble endeavour", He added in the letter.
