Corruption cases pending against politicians are likely to pave the way for the revocation of the President’s Rule and formation of a coalition government comprising Congress,Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and All Jharkhand Students Union in Jharkhand.

Right now, behind the scenes talks were on among leaders of these parties.

JMM president Shibu Soren is under the radar of the CBI in the multi million rupee coal scam.Soren was already interrogated by the sleuths of the premier investigating agency.

In addition, atleast two JMM MLAs-Sita Soren and Simon Marandi were allegedly involved in the cash-for-vote scam related with the Rajya Sabha by polls.Even UC Mehta, principal of Marwari college, who is father in law of the All Jharkhand Students Union president and former Deputy CM Sudesh Mahto,is facing warrant of arrest in a scam involving bungling of Rs 75 lakh of a college fund.

Faced with these cases, they are despetrate to come close to the Congress hoping that this ruling party can help them wriggle out of the police and the court cases.

Aware of it,the Congress led by its state unit president Pradeep Balmuchu, who was instrumental in using the scam tainted Madhu Koda regime to get his own daughter admitted in a medical college on the state government’s ‘quota’,was desperately trying to bring the AJSU together.A round of talk was already over.

But all is not well within the Congress. A section led by Union Rural Development Minister Jai Ram Ramesh was reportedly not in favour of installing government led by Balmuchu whom he thinks lacks chief ministerial stuff.More over, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay and its MLA Sarfaraz Ahmad were vying with each to grab the CM’s post.

At the other end, none of the AJSU leaders including Sudesh Mahto had responded in public about its stand. But indications are that he may agree to back the Congress led government.
