* President Droupadi Murmu who was accompanied by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal moved around stalls, each carrying products made by tribals inside Birsa Munda College ground on May 25, 2023.
Since the objective of the programme was to encourage women SHGs for entrepreneurship, President Droupadi Murmu’s visit appeared to have inspired many of these tribal women entrepreneurs.
On the first day of her arrival in Jharkhand on Wednesday, President Murmu paid obeisance at the Baba Baidyanath temple in the Deoghar district and inaugurated over Rs 600 crore new building of the Jharkhand High Court.
After returning from Khunti, President Murmu is slated to attend the second convocation of the IIIT in Ranchi this evening.
