The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has  announced a key organizational change in its Jharkhand unit, appointing Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu as the state’s new Working President.

The appointment, made by BJP National President J.P Nadda, takes immediate effect. Sahu replaces Ravindra Kumar Rai in the role.

The move is part of the party’s broader strategy to strengthen its leadership in Jharkhand ahead of upcoming political challenges posed by the Mahagatbhandhan led by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. 

Hemant Soren has built a strong ‘AM’ factor referring to his political strategy of consolidating the votes of Adivasis and Muslims in the state of Jharkhand.

By the way newly appointed Acting President of the BJP, Aditya Sahu is non- Adivasi. He is however educated up to M.Com who took charge as Rajya Sabha MP on 8 July 2022. 

He was born in Kuchu village of Ormanjhi of Ranchi district in state of Jharkhand.He was professor of Ram Tahal Chaudhary College till 2019. He is member of BJP since two decades. He was leader of state BJP unit from 2019.
